covers an area of 377.4 Sq. Km. It is located in the mighty Selous Game Reserve of an area of 50,000 Sq. Km being part of the in the Selous Ecosystem covering an area of over  130,000 sq.km. The area offers an interesting and genuine wilderness for an unforgettable hunting experience. The K4 Camp is strategically located on the Northern bank of Kilombero River only 1.5 kilometres from the Mlahi all weather airstrip. K4 hunting with spectacular miombo woodland intersperse with scattered open glades and grassland mosaics that provide for abundant game and remarkable hunting experience particularly the cats, buffalo and antelopes.

THE K4 HUNTING CAMP

K4 Camp setup epitomizes the pristine and exclusive wilderness of Selous Game Reserve. Its tents perched on high stand offers classic tented accommodation that overlooks the vast Kilombero River teamed with hippos lazily wallowing in the shallows, birds soaring over the water and crocodiles afloat. Due to its classic style, K4 camp is the most highly appraised hunting camp in the country.

 

The camp has an exclusive traditionally built mess and bar that provide for a comfortable dining and wining place. Dinners or suppers meticulously prepared by our highly experienced chef are served by our waiters to visitors while they are enjoying their evening food and drinks (soft, medium and hard) they will be also be intoned by an uncalled for copious ensemble of sounds from the typical vocals of hippos, growling lions, clinking crickets and other symphonies of songs of nocturnal wildlife. The dinners and suppers are a full feast with soups/starters, a heavenly main course and enticing tart-lets while the drinks are a choice by the clients from a versatile and fully stocked collection of an assortment of soft drinks, wines, and hard drinks.

The accommodation tents in the camp have expansive highly ventilated and air-conditioned rooms with satisfactory space for twin or twofold bed accommodation, exclusive furniture and en-suite private washrooms with showers and flush toilets. Each tent is a stand alone with verandah, seats and tables, mosquito protected windows with a zipped entryway at the front. The bedding facility is of either two single beds or a twofold bed, with agreeable froth bedding's, cotton bed-sheets and duvets.

Our breakfast offers include tea, coffee, crisp organic product, bacon, eggs, frankfurters and so forth. An outing lunch or come back to camp are made available as advised by our highly experienced Professional Hunters.

Staying in K4 Camp tents is very much like having your own house in Tanzania, a luxurious refuge for exploring the magnificent Selous game reserve. The tent decks are raised up on first floor level both with king-sized beds. The tents have sunbathing and game viewing deck. all around

HOT WATER

Hot water is provided in the tents’ shower rooms and accessible in the mornings and nights, and available on request at all other time.

CLOTHING

Clothing is done regularly with the exception of when you move camp. If you don't mind, put garments you might want washed in the clothing bin and they will be returned at night.

LIGHTING

K4 camp runs a generator for powering fridges and profound coolers while the general lighting power draws from solar charged batteries. The power of electric supply is the standard UK 240 volts 50 Hz and three stick attachments.
